Dr Anthony Chaffee

Anthony Chaffee was born in California, raised in Washington state, and began undergraduate studies in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Washington in Seattle at age fifteen. He completed his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and went on to train as a neurosurgical registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia from 2019 to 2023.

He now lives in Perth and works as Medical Director at Elevate Medical Clinics in North Perth, focused on functional, preventative and nutritional medicine. His "Plant Free MD" podcast is the most consistent long-form clinical-perspective show in the carnivore space, with extended interviews with researchers, physicians and patients. Chaffee is unusually willing to debate critics in public forums and is a useful voice when you want the case for plant-free eating stated without varnish.
